Additional golf games are being developed – EA Sports back

Just weeks after Tiger Woods announced that he has entered into a partnership with 2K Sports and HB Studios to create a new golf game, the next title is presented – from his old partner.

The EA Sports PGA Tour is being created for the new generation of consoles. A press release via the PGA Tours website announces that you will be able to build your own career and get out on the tour. It also says that you will be able to play the Players Championship and the FedExCup playoffs via EA Sports games.

This creates some question marks. This was part of the PGA Tour 2K21, which is the latest game from a completely different studio. It is not clear whether EA Sports has exclusive rights to the rights from the PGA Tour or whether they sold them to the two different companies.

In the new EA Sports PGA Tour you will be able to play against and as some of the world’s best golfers on some of the world’s best golf courses. More information will be published on an ongoing basis and a release date is also expected within a couple of months.

EA Sports and the PGA Tour must have entered into a long-term agreement to recreate their franchise from the past. This time, however, the games will be launched on the next generation of consoles and with the EA Frostbite game engine, an amazingly beautiful environment and easily accessible, dynamic game mechanical properties are promised.
– EA Sports and PGA Tour have created some of the most memorable golf games together and we could not be more excited about expanding our sports portfolio with a new golf title on next-gen hardware, says Cam Weber, EA Sports general manager.
– Our team of passionate golfers is currently creating copies of the world’s best courses, such as Pebble Beach and we long to see everyone compete on the iconic PGA Tour courses and later win the FedEx Cup.
