Additional Funding Provided for Maintenance of Municipal Cycle Path Network

With an additional agreement on municipal financing, the state provides additional funds for the maintenance of the municipal cycle path network.

At the request of the state governor, who is also responsible for the municipalities, the state government approved the draft of an additional agreement on municipal financing for 2023 on Tuesday. An additional 150,000 euros are available for the maintenance and operation of the municipal cycle path network; previously 350,000 euros were earmarked for this. The South Tyrolean cycle path network is now over 500 kilometers long and offers varied, signposted cycle routes for locals and guests.

More funds are also available for the area of ​​public buildings: an additional 20 million euros are intended to cover the increased needs of the communities and help ensure that urgent construction projects can be tackled and implemented.
