Additional 3000+ for retirees, but first enhancement: we already know how much your pension will increase and how much it will be from March [wyliczenia]

With almost 100% certainty, the lowest pension will increase from March 2023 to over PLN 1,500. It is also known that in addition to the thirteenth pension already guaranteed by the act, the elderly will also receive the fourteen-year-old – said Minister Marzena Maląg and PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński. Of course, this is just an index and the whole mathematical effect is “ruined” by high inflation, which drives up the cost of living even faster than pensions. That is why in 2023 the additional benefits will play such an important role: the thirteenth and fourteenth retirement. And it is for this reason that not only the poorest pensioners ask, with hope, the fifteenth old-age pension.

This certainty derives from the parameters set by the Budget Law for 2023, the draft of which has already been approved by the Government. It presupposes, among other things, indexation of pensions from 1 March 2023 for an amount of 13.8 per cent and guarantees funds for an increase in benefits and 13 pensions. For fourteen there will also be money, but first a law must be passed that guarantees this additional benefit – either only in 2023, or as Jarosław Kaczyński announced – permanently, every year, as in the case of the legal regulation of the thirteenth pension. .

Currently, the lowest pension is PLN 1,338.44 gross (the net is less than 9% of the health insurance premium). If nothing changes – and the change could only be at an even higher indexation rate due to still rising inflation – and the indexation index will stand at 113.8, the lowest pension would be PLN 1,523.14.
