Add to Queue: Crunchyroll turns up curated anime playlists on SpotifyNews

Culver City, Kalifornien, 19. August 2024Crunchyroll®the ultimate brand for every anime fan, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Spotify to provide listeners with specially curated playlists and a dedicated category in the global Anime-Hub by Spotify. This partnership comes at a time when global streams of anime music on Spotify have increased by 395% since 2021, highlighting the growing influence of anime culture worldwide. With playlists that transform everyday life into an epic adventure, Crunchyroll offers fans a carefully curated selection of music that immerses them even deeper into the action-packed world of anime.

The new “Curated by Crunchyroll” playlists are regularly updated with new content to create the ultimate anime-inspired playlist:

  • Crunchyroll Anime Essentials -A brand new anime season has started this summer on Crunchyroll! Hear the music that accompanies the line-up.
  • The dark, black-haired protagonist – Plagued by a tragic past, this character’s demeanor may intimidate some, but deep down all he wants is a hug.
  • The cheerful, pink-haired best friend – Always there when a friend is in need, this character brings light, positivity and an often underestimated strength.
  • The all-powerful, white-haired Sensei – Behind his cool, uninvolved facade lies a mystery that needs to be solved.
  • The journey begins – You are the main character of your own story. The fate of the world depends on you… and of course there are side quests.

The category will also include Crunchyroll’s recently launched hit podcast: Crunchyroll Presents: The Anime Effect Podcastwith high-profile guests such as David Dastmalchian from Oppenheimer, rapper Denzel Curry and J-Pop icon LiSA.
