Options hybrid cars in Indonesia now more and more. Most recently, PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) released the Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV.
This hybrid car is believed to be a “bridge” to the era of all-electric vehicles. Users can help reduce fossil fuel consumption because hybrid cars are cheaper. On the other hand, hybrid cars are less dependent on electric charging infrastructure.
The “blown out” Kijang Innova is a newcomer to the hybrid car category. Currently the choice of hybrid cars varies, ranging from SUV models to people carriers. There are many hybrid systems on offer. There are mild hybrids or mild hybrids, hybrids, plug-in hybrids.
Here are some choices of hybrid cars in Indonesia and their prices.
Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV

Toyota has just launched the Innova Zenix Hybrid EV. This car combines a 2,000cc petrol engine with an electric motor.
The Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV optimizes the control of energy production in the petrol engine and electric motor. The Innova Zenix Hybrid EV marries a 2,000cc M20A-FXS coded TNGA engine with an electric motor. The petrol engine has a power output of 152 HP at 6,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 187.3 Nm at 4,400-5,200 rpm. Meanwhile, the electric motor produces 113bhp with 205.9Nm of torque. The combined output of the hybrid system reaches 186 HP.
Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid EV is sold at IDR 458 million to IDR 614 million.

Furthermore, there is also the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid comes with the 2ZR-FXE engine. The petrol engine with a displacement of 1,798 cc, in-line four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve with VVT-i can deliver a maximum power of 98 hp at 5,200 rpm with a maximum torque of 142.1 Nm at 3,600 rpm.
The petrol engine is paired with a hybrid system featuring an electric motor that produces 72PS and a maximum torque of 162.7Nm.
Currently, Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is sold at IDR 540,900,000.
Toyota Corolla Altis hybrid

In addition to the crossover version of the Corolla, Toyota also presents the Corolla Altis Hybrid sedan. The engine is the same as the Corolla Cross Hybrid, i.e. the 1,798 cc engine signed 2ZR-FXE. Now, Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid is sold at IDR 565,600,000.

One of Toyota’s luxury sedans, the Camry, was also electrocuted. The Toyota Camry Hybrid is equipped with a 2,487cc inline four-cylinder A25A-FXS hybrid engine. The petrol engine is capable of releasing up to 178 HP at 5,700 rpm with a maximum torque of 220.6 Nm. There is also a 20.6 HP electric motor. Currently the Toyota Camry Hybrid sells for IDR 874,600,000.
Hybrid Toyota C-HR

Toyota’s latest hybrid line is the C-HR Hybrid. The Toyota C-HR Hybrid is equipped with the same engine as the Corolla Cross Hybrid and Corolla Altis Hybrid. Horsepower and torque performance are identical.
Now, Toyota C-HR Hybrid is sold from IDR 586,200,000 to IDR 587,700,000.

Suzuki is also introducing a hybrid car through its flagship minivan, the Suzuki Ertiga. However, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is equipped with a mild hybrid or mild-hybrid system.
The Suzuki Ertiga’s hybrid system features Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology with a lithium-ion battery that stores energy in the lithium-ion battery, and there is also an automatic engine shutdown when the vehicle stops. The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is equipped with the 1,462 cc Suzuki Smart Hybrid (K15B + ISG + Lithium Ion) system with a maximum power of 104.7 HP and 138 Nm of torque.
Currently, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is sold by Rp. Rp 270.3 million. 292.3 million.

Wuling also introduces a hybrid car through the recently launched Wuling Almaz Hybrid. This car is powered by a 1999cc N/A four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine producing 124.7hp and peak torque of 320Nm. The engine is mated to a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a dedicated hybrid transmission ( DHT). This car has a 1.8 kWh Li-ion Ternary Battery (NMC). Wuling Almaz Hybrid is being sold for IDR 470 million.

Next up is the Nissan Kicks e-Power. This Nissan hybrid car is somewhat different from hybrids from other manufacturers. The Nissan Kicks’ 1,200cc petrol engine isn’t responsible for driving the wheels, but acts as a generator to charge electricity from the battery. While driving the wheels is the electric motor.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power features a 1,198cc 3-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 128PS and 260Nm of torque. This car has an e-Transmission transmission. This Nissan Kicks e-Power hybrid car has a battery capacity of 2.13 kW. Now, Nissan is selling Kicks e-Power with prices starting at IDR 482.8 million.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Finally, there’s the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. This car is also slightly different from the usual hybrid. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV features a plug-in hybrid system where the battery can be charged using an outlet like an electric car. If the SPKLU infrastructure is not found, the petrol engine will act as a generator to recharge the battery.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV offers three driving modes, namely EV driving mode, series hybrid mode and parallel hybrid mode. For EV driving mode, the car is driven by an electric powered motor and a battery with a maximum speed of 135 km/h. Also, in Series mode, the engine will drive the vehicle with electricity generated by the engine. And the parallel engine mode will propel the car while driving at high speed with the help of an electric motor when additional power is needed.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is currently sold at IDR 898 million, a discount from IDR 1,322,700,000.
