- Recovered cases increased by 12,499, total recovered to 5,714,662

Previously on Saturday (26/3/2022), the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 was recorded at 5,995,876, recovered 5,702,163, and died 154,570.
The data was collected by the Ministry of Health until 12.00 WIB.
Regarding the ongoing sloping COVID-19 case, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin linked it to super immunity. In some countries, Omicron BA.2 triggers a spike as antibody levels from the vaccine have weakened.
Indonesia started vaccination later, so the current antibody level is relatively higher. Coupled with the antibodies formed by the Delta waves, some residents form an immunity called ‘super immunity’.
The Minister of Health also emphasized that the transmission rate or reproduction rate of COVID-19 in Indonesia is approaching 1.
“The epidemic is controlled if the reproduction rate is below 1. It means that 2 people infect 1 person, or 3 people infect 2 people,” said the Minister of Health at a press conference, Wednesday (23/3/2022).
