Opposed to other members of the France pole of athletics in adapted sport, Gaël (21 years old) thus completed the fifteen laps of the track in 8 minutes, 54 seconds and 76 hundredths. Or about a second better than the old mark. The runner-up finished far behind, in 9’24, and the third in 10’00.
But that’s not all, the Montluçonnais also takes the opportunity to improve the Allier espoir record in FFA (able-bodied and disabled runners combined) that he already had. Finally, this super time also allows him to achieve the minimums in order to participate in the next Virtus European Championships indoors.
