On the occasion of LOSC – NK Olimpija Ljubljana, a new kid appeared in Paulo Fonseca’s professional group: Adame Faïz. A first commented on by Stéphane Pichot, his reserve trainer.
During the week, a few hours before the reception of his Slovenian counterpart (09/20, 4:30 p.m.), Paulo Fonseca revealed a group of 21 elements including Adame Faïz (18 years old). A real surprise reserved by the Portuguese technician, thus “offering” the young Lille player his first appearance in the professional group. If he did not set foot on the pitch at the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy, he was able to observe the victory of his team (2-0) on the bench and gain some experience.
Accustomed to seeing him in his reserve ranks, Stéphane Pichot is happy to see some of his protégés manage to rise to the professional group: “He (Adame Faïz) hasn’t changed you know (laughs) (after his selection, editor’s note). It was a reward for the work done during the week. He performed well there (with the pros, editor’s note). There are back and forths with the professionals which are a pleasure. The coach (Paulo Fonseca) does not hesitate to call on our players. It’s a good thing when they go, but we have to put it back when they come back to us later. For the moment, Adame (Faïz) is in his progress objective”commented Stéphane Pichot, following the victory of the Lille reserve in National 3, against Valenciennes (1-0).
