Actor Adam Rich, child star of the 1970s and 1980s series “Eight is Enough!” is dead. He was only 54 years old.
Adam Rich was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, California, TMZ reported on Sunday, Jan. 8. His relatives have not disclosed the cause of his death.
The actor was best known for playing the role of Nicholas Bradford between 1977 and 1981 in “Eight is enough!”, a family series broadcast by ABC, in which he played the youngest of a brother of eight children. The little boy with the bowl cut (who had many followers at the time) had been nicknamed “America’s little brother”.
“She was selfless and always watched over those she loved. That’s why a lot of people who grew up with him feel a part of their childhood is gone and they’re sad today,” said Danny Deraney, his agent, who described him as “kind, generous and a warrior in the fight against mental illness”.
Adam Rich had posted messages on Twitter last September to salute the courage of all people affected by mental illness.

Interrupted career, drug addiction and burglary case
Adam Rich was born on October 12, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY, according to his IMDb page. He studied acting at Chatsworth High School in the San Fernando Valley, California. He was unmarried and had no children, his agent said of him.
In addition to “Eight is Enough!”, and before that in “The Three Billion Man”, he also appeared in several television shows and various TV movies in the late 70s and 80s, most notably in “Fantasy Island”. , “CHiPs”, “Little Wonder”, and had lent the voice of him in the animated series “Dungeons & Dragons”.
He also appeared in the credits of an episode of “Baywatch” in 1993, before taking a 10-year hiatus, as reported by TMZ. In 2003, he reappeared in David Spade’s “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star,” and played “Crocodile Dundee” in the television series “Reel Comedy.”
