According to the information provided on the portal police in the second half of May 2024 Adam Bysiek is wanted by the criminal department of the Tarnów city police station. It is about the crime under Article 286 paragraph 1, which states, “Whoever, in order to gain a material benefit, causes another person to disadvantageously dispose of their own or someone else’s property by misleading him, or by taking advantage of a mistake or inability to properly understand the action undertaken, shall be subject to the penalty of deprivation of liberty for a term of between 6 months and 8 years.”

In response, Adam Bysiek admitted in a statement that he was wanted by the police. He noted that he found out about it after the information was posted on the police website.
– It has to do with my adolescence, when I made many mistakes that I corrected, and it goes back more than 10 years. Together with my attorney representing me, we have been trying for a long time to finally end it for the second time, because it was originally already concluded by a final decision of the District Court in Warsaw, in my favour – he emphasised. The case however, it returned to court as a result of an extraordinary cassation appeal filed by the national prosecutor.

According to Bysiek, this may be related to the fact that as a reporter for News24 he covered the conferences of the then Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro. The journalist is currently abroad.
