“Those who are flexible should plan quieter alternative routes or switch to another travel day,” advises the ADAC. Particularly good alternatives are therefore the weekdays from Tuesday to Thursday. The truck holiday driving ban should also provide a little relief, according to the traffic club. This applies from Saturday, July 1st, until the end of August, every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
