Ad! Russia is ready to send more gas to Europe

Jakarta

Russia ready to supply gas to Europe through the Yamal-Europe pipeline. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to news agencies TAX.

“The European market remains relevant, as gas shortages continue and we have every opportunity to resume supplies,” the report said TAX quoted from ReutersTuesday (26/12/2022).

The Yamal-Europe pipeline usually brings gas to Europe. However, in December 2021 Poland moved away from Russia in favor of withdrawing gas from Germany

In May, Poland concluded the deal with Russia, having previously refused Russia’s request to pay in rubles. Russian supplier Gazprom responded by cutting supplies and also said it would no longer be able to export gas through Poland after Russia imposed sanctions on the company’s Polish side of the Yamal-Europe pipeline.

Novak also reiterated that Russia is discussing further gas supplies through Turkey following the establishment of a hub there. He also said that Russia should ship 21 billion cubic meters (bcm) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe by 2022.

“We are able to significantly increase the LNG supply to Europe this year,” he said.
