Acute Hepatitis Attacks Children in Europe to Asia, 3 Indonesian Children Died in 2 Weeks

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Mysterious Acute Hepatitis attacks children in European, American and Asian countries.

In Indonesia, three children died from the disease in the last two weeks.

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has increased vigilance in the last two weeks.

This policy follows a statement from the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding Extraordinary Events (KLB) in cases of Acute Hepatitis that attacks children in Europe, America and Asia, and the cause has not been known since April 15, 2022.

Previously, there were three pediatric patients treated at Dr Ciptomangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, who died.

All three are suspected of having acute hepatitis whose cause is unknown, at different times, with a span of the last two weeks until April 30, 2022, quoted from the page Ministry of Health.

These three patients are referrals from hospitals in East Jakarta and West Jakarta.

Symptoms found in these three patients were nausea, vomiting, severe diarrhea, fever, jaundice, seizures and decreased consciousness.

It is known, hepatitis is inflammation of the liver or liver which can be caused by various things, such as infection or viruses.
