Russian People’s Artist Zinaida Kirienko, known from the screen adaptations of Mikhail Sholokhov’s “The Quiet Don” and “The Fate of Man”, has died at the age of 88, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
The actress was treated by Kovid-19 in a hospital in Moscow.

Zinaida Kirienko was born on July 9, 1933 in Makhachkala. Zinaïda’s mother dreamed of her daughter becoming an actress, so she named her Aida, in honor of the famous heroine of Verdi’s opera. But her father was strict and wrote her on Zinaida’s birth certificate. And her mother’s dream came true … Zinaida Kirienko became an actress. More than 70 roles in cinema, 30 years of work in the Actor’s Theater, she also appeared as a singer …
