Simona Postlerová was born in Pilsen into an acting family, and it is said that she already knew in her childhood that she would follow her parents. She graduated from the DAMU in Prague, got a job at the National Theater and was a member of the Vinohrady Theater for more than 25 years.

In addition, she graced the Ungelt Theater, where she made her debut alongside Alena Vránová in Ladislav Smoček’s production of Pearl of Hollywood and I in 2005. Since 2017, she has excelled in British dramatist Gail Louw’s play Miss Dietrich Regrets, in which her mother – a famous film legend – was played by her acting teacher from DAMU Regina Rázlová.
Television viewers know Postlerová from the TV series Boys and Men, Hospoda, Chetnické humoresky, Hospital on the edge of the city after twenty years or Ordinace v rozágárden. She also starred in the TV movies Old Love Doesn’t Rust, Bankrupts, Mrs. Piper Intrudes, The Man and the Shadow and many others.
In addition to acting, Postler was also a recognized voice actor and reciter. She lent her voice to, for example, Cate Blanchett as the lady of the elves Galadriel from the Lord of the Rings series or Monica Bellucci in The Matrix.
In 2002, she won the František Filipovský Award for Best Actress in Dubbing for voicing actress Emma Thompson in the film Joke.
In the Night Mikroforum at Dvojka four years ago, she recalled, among other things, the collaboration with the director Jiří Menzel.
