She married into the Kraus acting family. “But we have nothing to do with Jan Krause’s family. It’s a coincidence of names and we have to explain it everywhere,” smiles the actress. Was it easy to learn to ride a horse? Did it take a lot of work? Is it worth understanding horses? What is her play about and how did it come about? What were her beginnings like in Ulica? Does he have a problem with kissing scenes? Can he pole dance?
Her husband Ondřej Kraus is an actor, as is her brother-in-law Martin. She herself is born Vaculíková and her uncle is the well-known actor Lukáš Vaculík. “So far, we haven’t been lucky enough to meet at work,” regrets the actress, whose favorite films with him are Letting Your Love Be Known and Love Between Raindrops.

Milena has a problem coming to the theater to see the play. “I had stage fright at first, but then it subsided and I enjoyed the performance. I endured it,” confides Šárka Krausová.
Did Lukáš Vaculík turn her away from acting? “We were talking together and he asked. He didn’t betray me and I was glad that he didn’t question it. I probably assured him that my motivations are not superficial, I’m not interested in tinsel and I just enjoy it. I had a feeling of support from him,” recalls the actress in Close Encounters.
