Actress Sally Kellerman, known as Margaret Houlihan of M * A * S * H, died Thursday at the age of 84. She has had a film career of more than sixty years.
American actress Sally Kellerman died in a nursing home of heart failure at the age of 84, she said agentura AP News.
Her acting career lasted over sixty years. She is best known for her film M*A*S*H from 1970, where she played Margaret Houlihanovou, nicknamed Šťabajzna. She earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress, but did not win the award. Two years later, the series M * A * S * H began filming, where Loretta Switová (84) took over the role.
Kellerman also starred in films, for example Back to school, Player, Bloody judgment or That is life!. V in 2014 was nominated for an Emmy Award for the role in the series Young and restless. She acted also in the comedy series Decker or played the mother of comedian Mark Maron in his series Maron.

She was survived by her son Jack and daughter Claire. Kellerman was married to television producer Rick Edelstein from 1970 to 1972, and since 1980 to film producer Jonathan D. Krane, who died in 2016.
