At the production presentation for tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Diva of the Desert Island’, which was broadcast live online on the 19th, Park Eun-bin, PD Oh Choong-hwan, actors Kim Hyo-jin, Chae Jong-hyeop, Cha Hak-yeon, and Kim Joo-heon attended and talked about the work.
‘Diva on a Deserted Island’ depicts the diva challenge of Seo Mok-ha (played by Park Eun-bin), an aspiring singer who was rescued from a deserted island after 15 years. Since it is the next work of Park Eun-bin, who caused a sensation with the ENA drama ‘Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Woo Young-woo’), there was a lot of interest from the beginning.
Park Eun-bin said about meeting the role of Seo Mok-ha, “I wanted to choose it with a light heart, but it was a work with a lot to do. It was a character that had to sing well, play the guitar well, know how to swim in the sea, and speak dialect. It was a difficult choice to make again.” “I thought, ‘I did it.’ But I have absolutely no regrets. I needed Mokha’s strength and it was helpful. I think it was a new challenge. Now that I met Mokha, I’m living very hard,” he said, expressing his affection.
When filming for ‘Woo Young-woo’ was in full swing, a job offer came, and Park Eun-bin became curious about him.
He said, “This project came when I was filming ‘Woo Young-woo’ for a while. I needed some time to catch my breath. Above all, the title ‘Diva on a Deserted Island’ was interesting, and after reading the script, I wondered how my life would unfold. “I became curious. When I met the director and writer, I took notes of the things I was curious about,” he recalled at the time.
To him, a deserted island is ‘my own space that everyone has in their hearts.’ Park Eun-bin said, “I was curious about what kind of thoughts I would have, what kind of life I would live, and how I would decide the direction of my life if I lived with such things in mind. I thought that life on a desert island made me who I am now, and if so, how would I deal with the upheaval? “I wondered if I would be able to survive. I had a desire to gain the power I had and realize it,” he said, explaining the reason for choosing the work.

Park Eun-bin said, “The most important strength of the song was singing. I wondered if I would be able to convey sincerity if I did not sing it with my own voice. Since I can also convey the feelings of the singer, I thought that singing it 100% in my voice would be able to reach the viewers better. “I did it,” he said, explaining why he decided to do so.
He continued, “From the moment I decided to do that, I have been putting in the effort to debut as a singer. In fact, my friend has a dream of becoming a ‘diva’, so I worked hard as if I was about to debut. The thing I said most often was, ‘It’s really hard to become a singer.’ “It seems like I’ve endured almost a year like you, getting frustrated at every moment and cheering up again. I’m also getting over it thanks to your positive energy,” he explained.
tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Diva of the Desert Island’ will premiere on October 28th at 9:20 PM.
