On November 14, the actress and model Olga Kurylenko, born in Berdyansk (Ukraine / USSR), turned 45 years old.
Olga started her modeling career at the age of 16, moving to Paris. Her photos graced the covers of Glamor magazines, ELLE, Madame Figaro, Marie Claire, Vogue and were published in the Victoria’s Secret catalog. She was the face of Lejaby, Bebe clothing, Clarins and Helena Rubinstein, as well as a model for Roberto Cavalli and Kenzo brands.
Kurylenko began her film career in 2005 with filming in the low-budget erotic film “Finger of Love”. The following year she starred alongside Elijah Wood (already famous for his role as Frodo in The Lord of the Rings) in the film Paris, I Love You.
In 2008, Olga was chosen to play the role of “James Bond girl” in the next film in the series about the agent 007 (“Quantum of Solace”), playing with Daniel Craig.
In 2010, Kurylenko was involved in the most expensive Chinese 3D film at that time, “Deep Empires,” in which she played the mermaid queen.
In 2012, Kurylenko played in the movie “To the Miracle” (in the company of Ben Affleck and Javier Bardem). In 2013, the science fiction film “Oblivion” was released, starring Olga Kurylenko and Tom Cruise. In 2014, the actress played in the spy action film The November Man opposite Pierce Brosnan, and in the same year, together with Russell Crowe, she played the main female role in the historical drama The Water Seeker. In 2017, Olga Kurylenko played Soviet pianist Maria Yudina in the satirical comedy The Death of Stalin. In 2018, Kurylenko appeared as a Russian spy in the British comedy film Johnny English 3.0, starring Rowan Atkinson.
In 2019, the film “Fifteen Minutes of War” was released, in which Kurylenko played the main role. In 2021, she starred in the thriller The Sentinel, as well as the role of Antonia Dreykova in the superhero film Black Widow. In addition, she played in the comedy film “Undercover Chef.”
In total, Olga Kurylenko starred in more than 50 films and TV series. He can be considered one of the most successful Western film actors born in Ukraine, along with Milla Jovovich and Mila Kunis.
She was married several times. Raising a son. Lives in London.
