Tell us about your projects and how your career is going.

I came to León, Guanajuato and Irapuato as a guest of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) and also to present my film ‘Dressed in white’, We are waiting for a release date. We asked for a date for February, the month of love, and my film is about that.

With two productions on the way, two more films that we are working on. With a film that we are going to shoot in Tulum, with Paulina Gaytán, Ramón Medina. I just shot my first short as a director, also presenting productions for my first feature film…with many projects ahead and very happy, because there is still a lot of touring left throughout the country to promote.

What challenges has 2024 brought you?

I am very happy to be able to tour my film throughout the country and with many projects. The biggest challenges have been having to live with such a difficult illness as my mother’s cancer, being with her from afar, it has been a challenge to have to make decisions like moving away from my family. It was also difficult to say goodbye to my dog, with whom I had been with for more than 18 years. I went to Spain for only four days because I was named: Lady of the Order of the Camino de Santiago, I had to make the decision of whether to go or stay and well, in the end one has to keep working and she died just when I arrived in Mexico and that has been the hardest thing. In my job being from one place to another is not a challenge, I enjoy this a lot, so the challenges that life has brought me the most have been those duels.

What will 2025 look like?

It will be a challenge to be a producer, an actress, fighting and giving visibility to many women. My crew is made up of many women, the short film, trying to help and empower women. I hope that more projects like the ones I have come up with, I have been invited to the San Sebastian Festival, to the Morelia Festival, very excited. I have just received a scholarship from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and in March I am going to Los Angeles, so I am very happy with that, in the end my goal is to also make films in the United States. Let’s hope that they come up with more projects.

How did you decide that acting would be your life path?

I started out as a model. I’ve always liked fashion and photography a lot. I felt that I was very superficial, and that those who were involved in pageants and competitions didn’t represent me. When I was in Australia and my career was cut short, life took me to where I am now. I feel that it was from there that I took an acting class. Since I was a child, I liked soap operas and cameras. I posed in front of cameras as if I had been doing my whole life. That helped me become an empowered woman.

What is it like to look back and share your own memories now, that is, of seeing great acting figures, and now, being the one in the role of star?

I always knew I wanted to do this, but my parents put a lot of pressure on me. I grew up watching soap opera stars and when I came to Mexico and saw those pictures, I still have a long way to go to get to where I want to be. I am happy to achieve my dream, to empower those girls from small towns who think they can’t dream big. I am very happy, I do believe that in the end, everything happens like this, you fight for what you want.

Who would you like to work with?

With Sofia Coppola, Tarantino, Guillermo del Toro, Almodovar, but I feel more Mexican and I would like to work a lot with Mexican directors. I really admire Nicole Kidman, international actors like Brad Pitt and everyone in the industry.
