I wrote – Manal Al-Gyoushi:
Actress Nada Bassiouni revealed the details of her mother’s cancer, noting that she had a strong connection to her, because she was the youngest of her siblings and was a friend of hers.
“Basiouni” said during her interview on the program “Women Don’t Know They Lie,” on CBC satellite channel, presented by media personality Mona Abdel Ghani and media personality Iman Ezz El-Din, that the doctors told her that her mother would only live 3 and a half months, noting that she lived 4 years after that.
She added: “The doctor said that she is in the final stages of salvation and she has 3 and a half months to live, but I have lived for 4 years. Everything is in the hands of our Lord, and healing and treatment are from Him, and prayers will lift the affliction.”
She explained that she refused to tell her mother about the nature of her illness until she was psychologically prepared to start taking medications so that she would not be affected, pointing out that she accompanied her throughout the journey of her illness.
She pointed out that the series “I Want a Man” had a story similar to the story of her mother’s illness, but the mother in the series was the one who hid from her daughter the nature of her illness, unlike her story.
