The Moscow Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has started an investigation into whether actress Liya Akhedzhakova has “discredited” the Russian army, TASS news agency reports, referring to law enforcement agencies.

The investigation began in connection with the video of the performance “My Grandson Benjamin” that took place on July 27 in Bremen, Germany. It shows that the actress is on stage with the Ukrainian flag in her hands.
The video was posted on Twitter and other social media.
Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, will request an inspection.
He believes that Akhedzhakova “discredited Russia, of which she is still a citizen”.
Borodin is known in Russia for his calls to censor representatives of Russian culture who express an anti-war stance.
