Actress Lee Si-young donated 100 million won to the Beautiful Foundation on the 4th to help disadvantaged neighbors have a warm winter. Donations are used to provide cold weather items such as coats, underwear and winter blankets to 230 grandparents, parents of teenagers and seniors at home.
This sharing stems from Lee Si-young’s ongoing interest in supporting socially vulnerable people, such as children and adolescents, women and the elderly. Lee Si-young, who had previously established a relationship with the Beautiful Foundation by providing assistive devices to children with disabilities in 2019, donated 10 million won in 2020 to support single-parent self-employed women for living expenses and in 2021, to teenage parents and borderline intelligent teenagers leaving care facilities. He has donated 100 million won to charity and has established himself as a good example of “good influence”.
Lee Si-young said, “I participated in the sharing in the hope that everyone warmly spend this particularly cold winter together” and “I hope that the heart of cheering for the health and happiness of neighbors will be passed on.”
Kim Ah-ran, director of the Beautiful Foundation, said, “I hope donor Lee Si-young’s sharing will lead to a warm community atmosphere where many people can enjoy the comfort of their neighbors and spend a warm winter together.”
