Dear viewer, dear fan,
Over the past few weeks I have often been asked how I am doing. Well, how am I?
I have to reinvent myself. That’s pretty much what it comes down to. And that takes time. The events of the past few months have turned my life, that of Jos’ children, family and friends upside down and that must be given a place. And that’s also the reason why I don’t want to say much about this yet. That time is not yet ripe. I know that many people sympathize with me and have questions. But I hope everyone understands my decision.
That doesn’t mean I’m sitting still. In addition to that emotional quest for the ‘Leah to be reinvented’, I’m back to work. For a few weeks now we have been putting all the scenes from Home that are still to be shot on it. Home never stops and Madame Marianne is back in the new season: with a warm heart and a naughty tongue, because that’s Marianne. And the story is told as it is intended and written. It will be a beautiful story.
In addition, “The Lady in the Van” will premiere on 8 September. A beautiful theater piece that can finally premiere. Corona has already made it postpone a few times, this time that virus won’t stop us anymore. Rehearsals are going well and it is great to be on stage again, together with colleagues. I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with the venue and seeing the audience again.
Heartily,
Leah Thys
