What are you saying?” It was an urgent but also lonely appeal that the actress and director Judith Godrèche made to her colleagues at the ceremony for the most important French film prize, the César. “Why should we allow this art that we love so much, that brings us together, to be used as a cover for the illegal trafficking of young girls?” asked Godrèche. “We can decide that men accused of rape should not be allowed to speak in the cinema.”
