Actress Jessica Walter has passed away. The 80-year-old actress became best known as the bitchy mother Lucille Bluth in Arrested Development.
Jessica Walter’s career ran from 1964 to 2021, but in the Netherlands she is probably best known for a few big roles. She voiced Fran on the hit series Dinosaurs and starred as Malory Archer for ten years; secret agent Sterling Archer’s deranged mother.

However, she became best known as Lucille Bluth, in the comedy series Arrested Development. The bitchy, loveless and unworldly mother of the Bluths made everyone’s life hell for years!

Walter played many small roles in American series and was also regularly seen on the American stage.
Walter’s daughter Brooke Bowman announced the news today. “It is with great sadness that I confirm the death of my beloved mother Jessica today. She acted for almost 60 years and her greatest pleasure was to entertain others, with stories on the screen and besides that. Her memory lives on in all her work and many will remember her for her humor, class and enjoyment of life. ”
