Actress Jessica Daly’s name topped the British media, after her dedication to saving a musical theater show in the city of Leicester, on Saturday.
The makers of the theatrical show “Evita,” which tells the story of Eva Peron, the wife of former Argentine President Juan Domingo Peron, were shocked after the severe illness of actress Martha Kirby, who plays the role, and her replacement, Chumisa Durnford May, prevented them from going up to the stage.
The makers of the theatrical show searched for an actress in Britain who was familiar with the character and had previously embodied her in other works, until they found Jessica Daly, who was at her home in Middlesbrough at the time, according to The Guardian newspaper.
Jessica Daly agreed to travel to the city of Leicester, a distance of more than 240 kilometers, and participated in the musical show, to receive praise from the audience in the theater as well as the staff, who were keen to extend a special greeting to her.
Jessica Daly’s story spread across social media platforms and various media outlets, with hundreds keen to congratulate her and praise her talent and dedication in order to maintain the continuity of the play.
