Actress Hong Sa-bin talked about her various acting experiences and career in the five years since her debut, including the lead role in the movie ‘Hwaran’, and revealed her side as a sincere new actress.
On the 26th, I met Hong Sa-bin, the lead actress of the movie ‘Hwaran’, at the Meatball Lounge, a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul. ‘Hwaran’ is an action noir drama that shows a group of people living in a hopeless world in different ways, centering on the story between Yeon-gyu, a boy who wants to escape from the hellish reality, and Chi-gun, the middle boss of the organization.
Hong Sa-bin played the role of boy Yeon-gyu. His colorful acting tones, which express blunted emotions in a painful reality, give the impression of properly showing the catharsis and realistic sense that tragedy brings.
Sabin Hong said, “After entering college, I worked as a staff member for several years and practiced and learned what I saw on my own. I also had the experience of riding a quick motorcycle to Gangnam, the audition site, and Hongdae, where I had a schedule as a performance staff member, for Yoo Yeol’s music album. So he applied for about 2,000 auditions, and made 70 to 80 short films through him. “I think all that effort has accumulated and been seen positively,” he said.
Hong Sa-bin continued, “Senior (Hwang) Jeong-min, who became a part of the family through a connection to a certain movie, emphasizes his attitude as an actor rather than his acting. “Although each actor must be good at acting, she always points out that one must have a good attitude, such as interpersonal relationships such as actor-to-actor, staff, and preparation attitude as an actor,” she said, adding about her current acting agency.
