Actress Florence-Vīksne Accuses Another Actress of Sabotaging Role at Daile Theater

Florence-Víksne said she has faced another actress “taking down” the role. J. J. Gillinger states that this happened during his time at the Daile Theater, but he had no idea about it. “I don’t think it was possible!” said Gillinger, to which the actress replied, “I thought so too!”

“Perhaps due to a coincidence of circumstances or circumstances unknown to me… There was such a long period. From the very beginning we dubbed with the particular actress, but it all turned out one-sided,” reveals Florence-Vīksne.

She has noticed strange things during the rehearsals and repeatedly asked the director if everything remains valid and if she should prepare for this role. “You didn’t just have to learn the text, but you had to go to a vocal teacher, I went, I sang, there were songs, I had to play an instrument, I had to prepare partnerships, etc.”

Florence suspected that she had been deprived of the role after all, which she confirmed in the fitting of the costumes. All those involved in the show did not answer her questions.

“I realized there was something I didn’t know and stupid for asking.”
