The play, which will be screened next month at Theater Bellevue in Amsterdam, is about the rise and fall of a criminal who gives a television interview that is completely derailed. “I have heard all those statements and questions in real life. I did not make up anything,” said Khayame. “That is what the piece is about: are you who you are or are you what the rest of the world thinks you are? Can you escape the expectations that exist?”
