The American actress Christina Applegate was told a few months ago by doctors that she suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS).

“I was diagnosed with MS a few months ago. It was a strange journey. But I’ve been so supported by people I know who also have this condition. It was a tough road. But as we all know, the road goes on,” she tweeted on Tuesday.
Multiple Sclerosis is an incurable, chronic disease of the central nervous system in which inflammation leads to damage to nerve pathways and their sheaths. The disease leads to various (in)visible symptoms and the course of the disease is unpredictable and very diverse. That’s why multiple sclerosis is known as the 1000-faced condition. Applegate is best known for her role as Kelly Bundy on the sitcom Married… with Children. She starred in Friends and had the lead role in the sitcom Samantha Who?.
Christina Applegate was cured of breast cancer in 2008.
