Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in the television series 24 and Bosch, has died of cancer. Wersching was 45, her publicist confirmed. In the gaming world, she is better known as Tess from the original The Last of Us, she voiced and took part in withrange of motion.

She continued acting even after her diagnosis in 2020, with prominent roles in Star Trek: Picard and The Rookie.

John Kassar, director and producer of 24, paid tribute to the actress: “My heart is broken into more pieces than I can count. Annie came into my world with an open heart and an infectious smile. She had such a talent that more than just a work colleague, Annie became a true friend to me, my family and all the cast and crew who worked with her and she will be sorely missed by them and the fans she always found time to connect with.
