Anna has only recently learned that she has a condition in which she hears everything softer. “In many cases it occurs after a pregnancy, but that’s a guess for me. It’s bad luck, because it’s progressive. It’s all still very fresh, I’m glad I can talk about it now without crying.” she tells Harper’s Bazaar.
The actress can be operated on, but then the condition must first get worse. “For the time being it was better to get hearing aids, the doctor said. I feel strong, live healthy and am a Sunday child; I find it difficult to accept that I have something. But then also something that is so associated with old gray men , it feels very strange.”
Hearing aids are kept secret, Anna notices. “That’s why I want to be open about it, although it also makes me sad. I don’t know how bad it will get, what the impact will be on my work. But it’s important to talk about it, also to support others. ”
