Actress Accuses Russell Brand of Sexual Assault on Set of “Arthur”

Actress accuses Russell Brand of sexually assaulting her while filming “Arthur”

An unnamed actress accused British actor Russell Brand of sexually assaulting her while filming the movie “Arthur” in 2010 in New York, according to court documents published Friday.

The complaint filed before the New York State Supreme Court comes after accusations made by several women and investigations conducted by the media and British police in September and October regarding rape, sexual assault, and psychological violence.

Brand rejected the previous accusations, saying his relationships had always been “consensual.” These supposed incidents occurred between 2006 and 2013.

The New York complaint was filed by a woman identified as “Jane Doe,” who said that on July 7, 2010, she “was working on the set of the movie Arthur when the lead actor, Russell Brand, sexually assaulted her.”

She added that Brand appeared intoxicated, “smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set.”

She pointed out that the actor revealed his penis to her during filming, “in full view of the actors and crew.”

The actress said in the complaint that later that day, Brand followed her into the bathroom “and assaulted her while a member of the production crew was guarding the door from the outside.”

The complaint also targets Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Discovery, MBST Entertainment, Bender Spink, and Langley Park Pictures.

The actress said that as a result of the attack, she “suffered and continues to suffer from embarrassment, shame, and extreme fear.”

She pointed out that she had contracted to film her scenes on site for three days, but after the attack on the first day, she was not summoned again, “and she received only one day’s wages.”

She added: “I still maintain my career as an actress, and I feel terrified of being blacklisted in this sector.” She also expressed her fear of retaliation from Brand’s millions of fans and followers on social networks, as the 48-year-old man has become a celebrity known for his rebellious stances in recent years.
