Hanoi (VNA) – Actor Tien Hoi, known for his portrayal of the President Ho Chi Minh in a large number of artistic works, he died at 63 years of age.
During his career, the artist portrayed Uncle Ho more than 40 times in various plays, movies, and TV series, and hundreds more at events, festivals, and celebrations featuring excerpts about the nation’s beloved leader.
As young as 28, he first played President Ho Chi Minh in “Dem trang” (Stay Up All Night), the first play about the leader with anti-corruption efforts.

Vietnam recognized Tien Hoi as “the actor who successfully plays the role of Uncle Ho in the most diverse genres.”
According to his family, the actor’s posthumous tribute ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m. (local time) today at the National Funeral Home on Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi.
The funeral will take place at 18:30 on the same day./.
