The Green Power Ranger protagonist suffered from depression according to his rep
Actor Jason David Frank, known for playing Tommy Oliver, the green ‘Power Ranger’ and for practicing mixed martial arts, died this weekend at the age of 49.
According to information from the TMZ portal, Jason David Frank died by suicide in the early hours of this Sunday.
The news was confirmed by the actor’s representative, Brian Butler, who via Instagram regretted the facts and acknowledged the your customer journey.
“I am very saddened to learn of the passing of my friend and client Jason David Frank. Jason was a martial artist, best known for playing the game Tommy in the Power Rangers. He was a true martial artist and I had the pleasure of managing him in the fights he competed in. If you know someone who may be depressed, please let them know,” the rep wrote.
Jason David Frank rose to fame after his participation in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series, released in the 90s.
In this project, the Californian actor was presented as the enemy of the group, turning 180 degrees because he became the leader of the Power Rangers.
Frank starred in three seasons and reprized his role in other projects related to the Japanese franchise.
