Actor Tom Cavanagh talks about returning for the last Reverse Flash fight

Last month, fans of The CW’s The Flash received word that Tom Cavanagh, who has played multiple versions of Harrison Wells and Eobard Thawne / Reverse Flash since the series debut, would be exiting the series in the current seventh season.

The actor told TV Line that he would love to see Reverse Flash return for a final battle with The Flash (Grant Gustin) when the series finally ends its run.

“I’m not saying this is going to happen, but Greg [Berlanti} y yo siempre sentimos que cuando Grant decide dejar el programa, sería difícil imaginar un escenario diferente a ‘Batman vuelve a casa con Joker’ y Flash y Reverse Flash resuelven las cosas “, dijo Cavanagh.

It makes a lot of sense because you get the A story and then find out if it works fine. enough to give you a second season. And in the end, when Flash (Grant Gustin) and Reverse Flash fight, and Flash necessarily wins, I remember thinking, ‘Well that’s it. Honestly, I was like, ‘I’m thankful that I was a part of it.

He continued, “But then Greg Berlanti and I were talking about that and the opportunity provided by the fact that this show is set in this fictional multiverse. You’re like, ‘This is certainly an opportunity.’ So I walked up to the table with all these different characters. Ultimately, when you think about it, it’s another privilege as an actor because it’s a rarity that the same actor can play multiple versions of a character. What a joy! I think it was, for me, a very fun race “.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 / 7c on The CW.
