The NTR has an episode of the children’s series Camp Cookie with actor Thijs Römer from the tube. The broadcaster has done this because of Römer’s recent conviction for online sex offenses involving underage girls, according to a statement sent to several media.
The episode, a repeat, was broadcast on NPO 3 last day. Römer had a supporting role in it. Subsequently, outraged reactions were released on social media from viewers who thought the broadcast was inappropriate.
The NTR has now decided in consultation with the NPO to get the broadcast in question from NPO Start. The episode will also no longer be repeated on television.
Römer, 45, was sentenced on Tuesday to three months in prison, two of which were suspended, and 240 hours of community service. The court found it proven that he seduced three girls online into sexual acts and sending nude photos.
