After the recent case linked to Jonathan Majors, whose post as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Universe it is far from certain now, the Studios have another bomb on their hands: actor Tenoch Huertawhich began as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverwas accused of sexual assault.
To make the accusations, it is learned, was the musician and activist María Elena Ríos through a post on Twitter in which he defined the interpreter and “sexual predator». He declared it by distancing himself from a Mexican anti-racist association that hosted the Marvel actor in his podcast. La Rìos is very famous in Mexico, not only for her music: in 2019 an ex-boyfriend hired two people to throw acid in her face and has been actively fighting against violence against women ever since.
The saxophonist then went on to point the finger at Tenoch Huerta, underlining that it is difficult to talk about the emotional and power abuse suffered precisely because of her new status obtained after the Marvel film. The person concerned has now replied to these heavy accusations through a statement on her profile also sent to the foreign media:
About a year ago I dated Elena for several months. It was always a consensual relationship, as so many people can attest to. And all that time it was a relationship of love, warmth and mutual support. When it’s over, though, Elena started misreporting our interactions both privately and in front of mutual friends.
The actor, who is not certain will return as Namor in Marvel Cinematic Universe After Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverhe then added:
Accordingly, a few months ago, I engaged a legal team to take appropriate action to protect my reputation and refute these irresponsible and false allegations that can cause serious harm and harm. Even if I’m by no means perfect, I know these allegations are simply false. And while I will always work to better myself, I need to challenge claims that are both false and offensive.
At the moment, unlike Jonathan Majors, no criminal proceedings are underway against Tenoch Huerta.
