SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) — Actor Song Jae-lim, who starred in the TV series “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” was found dead at his home Tuesday, police said. He was 39 years old. Song was discovered dead at his home in Seongdong Ward, Seoul, at around 12:30 p.m. by a friend who had a lunch date with the actor, according to police. There were no signs of foul play and a will was found at the scene, police said.
The actor’s family told Yonhap News Agency that they wanted a small funeral ceremony with only their loved ones and did not mention the exact cause of death.
Song made his acting debut in the 2009 film “The Actresses” and gained popularity for his role as a warrior loyal to the king in the 2012 historical television drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun.” Later, he became even more popular when he appeared on the reality TV show “We Got Married” in 2014.
