“Two heirs are one too many” airs on Good Friday on the first. Peter Heinrich Brix (68, “Nord Nord Mord”) can be seen in the role of the hapless con artist.

The North German character actor has played few crooks in front of the camera in his 30-year career. In THAT! (NDR) he only remembered that of a child kidnapper in a “crime scene” with Manfred Krug († 79). Playing a petty criminal now is a gift. “Can you just expand the spectrum and move away from what we have as rows, which is also wonderful.”

Role was written on Brix’s body

Whether on this or that side of the law: Brix remains Brix, a taciturn fellow. In the first seven minutes of “Two heirs are one too many” he doesn’t say anything, even though he’s in every scene. “We have already made an effort to edit out the text-heavy scenes. And it also happened that we thinned out the dialogue where it was appropriate during the text rehearsal before shooting,” said the actor in an interview with NDR .

The role was attributed to him, it was developed over several years and he was involved in the script work.

Maybe Brix will be seen as a crook again in the future? His experience: “You’re often cast in what you’re currently playing. I got a lot of farmer offers because of ‘News from Büttenwarder’ and of course a lot of police roles after ‘Großstadtrevier’. However, you can’t work long-term on German television without getting a police officer play.”

In 1995, Peter Heinrich Brix came to the “Großstadtrevier” in the role of police officer Lothar Krüger and quickly became an audience favorite. He remained loyal to the early evening series for 14 years. In 2009 he left the series to have time for other leading roles in the series.

Brix can be seen in one again on Easter Monday. ZDF is repeating “Nord Nord Mord: Sievers and the murderous turquoise” from January 2022.
