Actor Nikolai Rybnikov’s Shocking Behavior Surprises Colleagues – Declining Career and Comeback Attempts Revealed

The star surprised his colleagues with his behavior.

By the early 1960s, Nikolai Rybnikov had become one of the most famous actors in the Soviet Union. He brought to life on the screen heroes who became symbols of that time. Suffice it to recall the characters from the films “Spring on Zarechnaya Street” and “Height”, who made the artist famous.

The last truly successful project with Rybnikov’s participation was the comedy “Girls”. After her, his career began to decline: he continued to act regularly, but there were no more iconic roles. The fact is that the actor became older, so he could no longer play the traditional images of young shock workers. And the demand for production films was declining.

At the peak of his popularity, Rybnikov suffered from star fever. But the lack of demand that followed fame forced him to obediently agree to minor cameo roles. The artist played the last such character in the film “Get Out!” Dmitry Astrakhan.

Colleagues were very ashamed to be on the same site with Rybnikov. The elderly actor tried in every possible way to please the director, constantly asking him questions and asking for advice, flattering and ingratiating himself. He was ready to work almost around the clock, but the role of the innkeeper turned out to be very small. The artist no longer saw his hero – the film was released after his death.
