Actor Michael Steven Henao shares harrowing experience of being robbed during epileptic attack in Bogotá

Every day, criminals take the opportunity to do their thing in the streets of the country or in any other space where they see that they have the possibility of stealing anything. Many celebrities have not escaped insecurity and, in the streets of Bogotá, have been assaulted by the owners of other people’s property.

What happened to Michael Steven Henao, actor of ‘El cartel de los sapos’?

In the broadcast on April 25, Michael Steven Henao was a guest on Day to day, the morning program of Caracol Televisión. There, he recounted how the moment was when, in the middle of a public thoroughfare in Bogotá, he suffered an epileptic attack, but unfortunately, they did not provide him with timely help because, in the end, he ended up robbed.

“I don’t know if fortunately or unfortunately this was recorded, one sees the images and thinks, how can there be such shameless people? What happened, Michael? He gave you a fit, a convulsion, you fell and who are the characters that are approaching? ”, asked the presenter Iván Lalinde.

According to what the actor recounted, once he suffered the attack, the first person to help him was his mother. However, a crowd of people quickly formed who, although they seemed to have the intention of helping him, took advantage of the situation and robbed him. “There were two very recent attacks, in the last one I was in a closed place, there were people, but it was very fast and there was no time to react. The other one had been fifteen days before and it was in the street, in that one it was strong and sadly the people took advantage of that moment and stole some belongings from me”, counted.

Although his mother was with him helping him, she did not realize the robbery because she was focused on helping him. “My mom is not going to start worrying about material things, but about me. Some people came to help, we must admit that not all of them are bad, but others took advantage and, from a backpack that she had, they took out the cell phone and some money ”, story.

What consequences have epileptic seizures left you with?

As a consequence of that attack, he suffered a severe blow. “The blow to the face was strong and they wanted to rule out that something internal had been damaged. I am waiting for a 48-hour electroencephalogram ”, he said at the time.

In addition, these episodes have affected their security, their social life and their relationship with their relatives. “With the four years that I have had this disease, I already know what happens after that. A lot of headache, I’m leaving, it takes me a long time to recognize people, sometimes I recognize them and I’m very weak. You have to relax, go to my room, I vomit a lot”.

In an interview he gave to Network a while ago added: “I convulse every two seconds in my brain. After so many internal convulsions, it’s as if it were a cup and it filled up, that’s when the body generated a shock and I fell completely. It has been quite a process because I started with a psychologist, psychiatrist, neurologist, general practitioner, I have to be in constant control with the doctors”, said.
