‘Jujube Tree Caught in Love’ actor Lee Kyung-pyo dies

Actor Lee Kyung-pyo, who starred in the 1990s rural drama ‘I Caught Love in a Jujube Tree,’ passed away from illness on the morning of the 12th. He is 61 years old.
The deceased, born in 1962, debuted as a talent in the 23rd year of Oriental Broadcasting (TBC) in 1980, and worked at KBS after the broadcasting company was merged.
In the rural drama ‘Jujube Tree Love Caught’, which was broadcast by KBS since 1990, the deceased played the role of Park Hye-sook, the eldest daughter-in-law of Hwang Min-dal (Kim Sang-soon)’s family in ‘Hwangnolbu’.
In addition, he was active in the KBS dramas ‘March of Youth’ (1983), ‘Detective 25:00’ (1986), ‘Land’ (1987), and ‘Jang Hee-bin’ (2002).
He left the entertainment industry in the late 2000s, and in 2020, he appeared on a broadcast and told the current situation that he was doing business.
The deceased is the spouse of Park Jae-jung, a member of the male folk duo ‘Green Beans’ in the 1970s, and the daughter-in-law of composer Park Si-chun. Survivors include her son Park Chang-jo.
The mortuary was prepared at the funeral hall of Asan Medical Center in Seoul. Her funeral is at 8 am on the 14th. ☎ 02-3010-2000
