Actor Kim Yun-seok expressed his feelings about appearing in ‘Noryang: Sea of Death,’ which marks the finale of the ‘Yi Sun-shin trilogy.’
On the morning of the 15th, a production briefing session for ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’ (directed by Kim Han-min) was held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Directors Kim Yun-seok, Baek Yun-sik, Jeong Jae-young, Heo Jun-ho, Kim Seong-gyu, Lee Kyu-hyung, Lee Moo-saeng, Choi Deok-moon, Park Myung-hoon, Park Hoon, Moon Jeong-hee, and Kim Han-min attended the event and shared various stories about the work.
Kim Yun-seok, who plays the role of Yi Sun-sin, who leads ‘Noryang: Sea of Death’, revealed the reason for his appearance. He said, “I thought about how great the work would be if it were made into a video. After reading the script, I was so grateful and grateful that I willingly participated.”
Kim Yun-seok honestly confessed his feelings about the pressure he felt while playing Yi Sun-sin. He said, “It was burdensome. Moreover, because it was the last battle, the captains of the three kingdoms came out in full force to end the war.” But there was someone who gave him strength. He mentioned actor Baek Yun-sik and recalled his joy, saying, “I jumped up because I was happy when I heard that the senior was joining us.”
Kim Yun-seok will play Yi Sun-sin, who participates in the final stages of the war, and will show a different side of Yi Sun-sin. He said, “Because the war must end, the agony will be more contained than in other works. I prepared Yi Sun-sin in ‘Noryang’ by keeping in mind the images of Yi Sun-sin in ‘Myeongryang’ and ‘Hansan’.”
