“He has reached a very beautiful age, but the loss of the ‘rascal grandfather’ hurts us very much just before the holidays,” says Dikmans’ grandson. He says his grandfather suffered from dementia.
The actor started his career as a clown and performed in various circuses with his wife. He was also active as a comedian.
In the 1980s Dikmans took over Bassie and Adrian the role of the hard of hearing con man B2 from his brother Harry. He could be seen in the regularly repeating series, among other things The secret of the treasure map in The sunken city.
Dikmans was recognized by his hat and large moustache. B2 regularly shouted the words “How about that?” if he couldn’t quite understand any of the other characters.
Dikmans will be cremated on Friday 23 December.
