Actor Jonas Smulders has an almost eleven-month-old daughter. The 29-year-old actor has not worked much lately to be with his child as much as possible.
“The love in my life currently consists of two ladies,” Smulders said in the NPO Radio 1 program Plastic. “One of almost eleven months. And my friend Isabella, who is also the producer of my new short film.”
Smulders worked less than usual last year, because he wanted to enjoy his daughter’s first year. “I took a lot of time for that little child this year, to be with her,” the actor said.
“I didn’t work at all for the first three months. Then I slowly started doing some small things again. But so far no long projects.”
Smulders is known for roles in films such as Boys (2014), The East (2021) in Forever Rich (2021). His new movie Luka opens in cinemas from Thursday. In the drama, he plays a young ambitious soldier who settles in a fortress where heroic warriors defend the remains of civilization.
Smulders’ new short film is at the Dutch Film Festival Primus about two people waiting for love in a launderette.
