Jeffrey Carlson died on Thursday, July 6. The cause of death of the 48-year-old is not known. The American actor became famous thanks to the role of Zoe in the series “All My Children”. He also performed on the big screen and in the theatre.
Jeffrey Carlson’s death was first reported to Susan Hart, who worked with him at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. “It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Jeffery passed away yesterday,” the actress wrote on social media on Friday. “Good night my sweet prince. I have no words to express my despair at losing you,” she added. The 48-year-old actor was also confirmed dead by the Cook County Coroner’s Office. His representatives point out that the causes and circumstances of Jeffrey Carlson’s death are still being determined.

“My handsome, brilliant and extremely talented brother Jeffrey Carlson has gone to heaven where he will be with our brother Gregory Carlson. I can’t understand why this happened,” sister Elizabeth Carlson Gingras, 48, wrote in a statement to the American media. “He had such a huge impact on so many people that it’s hard for me to find words to express how special he was. I have so much to say … but my heart can’t say the words it deserves,” added the woman.
Members of the Shakespeare Theater Company also bid farewell to the actor. “In a career that has taken him from television, film and Broadway to us at STC, Jeffrey has created beautiful and nuanced performances (…) We send our love to Jeffrey’s family and associates, to all those who knew him and loved,” they wrote on the theater’s social media.
Carlson gained the greatest recognition for the role of Zoe in the soap opera “All My Children”, with which he was associated in 2006-2007. He also appeared in productions such as “Happy End”, “Hitch: The Average Guy’s Best Counselor” or “Crime Scene”. He also collaborated with the Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington, where he appeared in “Lorenzaccio” and “Hamlet”, and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where he played in “Edward II” and “Henry IV, parts 1 and 2”.
