Jaroslav Vízner was born in Prague in 1937. Due to staff reasons, he did not get to DAMU and tried to work as a production and directing assistant at Krátký film. He also stayed briefly at the Semaphore.

From 1962 until his emigration in 1968, he performed at the Na Zábradlí Theater in Prague.

He first appeared in the film in 1962 in the now-forgotten film Life without a Guitar. His other films include Handlers, The Picture, The Fully Completed Guy and the Detective Series Martin and the Nine Fools, Martin and the Red Glass, Martin’s Phone and Call Martin.

After emigrating, he worked in Switzerland as the program director of Geneva Television, director and actor. He later played even smaller roles in well-known foreign films such as Van Helsing, The Illusionist and Edith Piaf.
