Spike Lee has been a constant face in the stands at Madison Square Garden since 1985, when he decided to purchase his Knicks game ticket just after the team won the draft lottery and selected legend Patrick Ewing. Since then, Lee has been a fervent and visible supporter of the team, both in good times and bad.
For his part, Jack Nicholson is an emblem of Lakers fans. Since the 1970s, long before the golden era of Magic Johnson and Showtime, Nicholson has been present at most of his team’s games.
Always close to the visiting bench and wearing his unmistakable sunglasses, Nicholson has organized his life and career in such a way that his film recordings do not interfere with his attendance at Lakers games.
